  1. What is the maximum capacity at Grand Superior Lodge?

Our Star Harbor Ballroom accommodates up to 200 people. Whether you have a party of 25 or 200 we have space that can meet your every need!

  1. Can Grand Superior Lodge host both the ceremony and reception?

Yes! We have a gorgeous patio overlooking Lake Superior. Our Star Harbor Ballroom, adjoined to our patio, welcomes guests for a memorable reception after the ceremony! Your guests can enjoy the patio all evening long! After the reception dinner, our team will set-up a fire pit perfect for enjoying one another’s company while the kids create messy faces with our complimentary s’mores!

  1. What does Grand Superior Lodge offer complimentary to wedding guests?

Grand Superior Lodge understands the importance of creating memories for guests during their stay. This is why we offer a wide variety of complimentary activities including canoes, bikes, yard games, bonfires, s’mores, guided hikes, DVD’s and more!

  1. Is there someone to assist with all of the wedding planning and details? Will they be with me on my wedding day?

Absolutely! Our wonderful on site Banquets and Events Manager, will assist you with all of the specifics pertaining to your wedding with Grand Superior Lodge. In addition, she will be there from start to finish on the day of your wedding acting as a point person to help you with your every need!

  1. How late can the music play?

If your wedding party has filled the required 12 rooms above the Star Harbor Ballroom, the music can go unit midnight! If they have not filled this room block, the music will end at 10:00 P.M., but your guests can still enjoy one another’s company outside sitting around the fire!

  1. Does Grand Superior Lodge allow a cash bar for the entire night?

Yes! We accommodate any variation of bar requests and your options are limitless! We can also set-up a portable bar outside on our patio during cocktail hour so your guests can continue to enjoy the beautiful North Shore.

  1. What is an average price per person for your catering menu?

Our food prices range anywhere from $24.00 to $45.00 per person. Our culinary team at Grand Superior Lodge, is wonderful at customizing a menu that meets your every need while staying within your budget! He can even create menus based on the season such as a pie buffet on a beautiful fall day using all of the freshest ingredients!

  1. Can I bring in my own cake?

Yes! We allow you to bring in your dessert of choice. There is a $1 per person cake cutting fee. Ask our Banquets & Events Manager for more information about bringing your own cake.

  1. Are there any lodging requirements for my guests?

Yes, Grand Superior Lodge requires a two night minimum stay. We believe that our guests should enjoy the north shore and escape the hustle and chaos of everyday life! Guests are not, however, required to stay at our lodge!

  1. What is the procedure for booking my wedding at Grand Superior Lodge?

We are so glad you asked! First you will want to contact Jessica (218.728.8060 x118), Wedding and Events Sales Manager. She will be able to provide answers to all of the questions that you have. In addition, she will gladly give you a tour of our property. Once the decision has been made to book with Grand Superior Lodge, Jessica will send you a contract that needs to be signed and returned within 10 days. After this contract is received, she will pass your information along to our Banquets and Events Manager!
